Top FIVE: Overrated Hollywood Actresses
In a salute to the King of Late Night..wait..no..that would be Johnny Carson.
In salute to the semi mayor of late night, David Letterman, I will begin this blog with a top ten list. I really like lists. Also the number ten. Unfortunately I cannot come up with that many actresses that I dislike so I will go with five.
TOP Five OVERRATED CURRENT HOLLYWOOD ACTRESSES
*This list was not compiled using any scientific method. It is my own personal opinion. If you don't like it....well too bad! :)
**This peice has been inspired by the many, many movies I have seen lately that featured terrible actresses.
***Note: Terribleness is based on lack of skill along with other factors.
1. KIERA KNIGHTLY-
Ok seriously? She was up for two oscars last year....best actress and best supporting actress!!!!!!!!! You have got to be kidding me. Agreed, she is quite possibly one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood right now, but her acting tends to suck. Whispering in a British accent does not make you worthy of the little golden man. Her acting is average at best.
2. UMA THURMAN-
A surprisingly bad actress. Also, she really isn't that pretty. I don't get the obsession.
3. HILARY SWANK-
Her acting itself is not that bad although she has such an abrasive personality I find her difficult to warm up to. Also, she is mannish. Unforgivable in a hollywood starlet.
4. CAMERON DIAZ-
This is a difficult one for me because she really does have her merits. Aside from her habit of choosing slutty roles and her tendencies to date men 1/2 her age, she has made a few good films (My Best Friend's Wedding, Shrek, if you count that). Unlike most attractive Hollywood actresses, she does have a flair for the comedic which a lot of other women lack. But the number of horrible movies that she has made far outnumber the rest (Sweetest Thing and Charlie's Angels alone could destroy her credibility as an actress).
5. JESSICA BIEL-
Aside from 7th Heaven (which was a sweet show) what else has she really done? A lame baseball movie with Freddie Prinze Jr., I now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry, and a Maxim photoshoot? She just seems icky to me.
